Will you be taking the GACE Biology Test? If so, here's a brief overview of what to expect on the exam. First, you should be aware that it actually consists of two different exams.
The first test covers evolution, heredity, and cell processes and structures. The second test covers the specific characteristics of organisms and ecosystems, as well as the characteristics of science. You'll only have four hours to complete both tests. This can be a challenge, as each test requires answering 60 multiple- choice questions and writing two constructed-response answers. Many people struggle to finish in the time allotted.
Test scores can range from 100 to 300. You'll need to score at least 220 to pass and be certified to teach in Georgia. Eighty percent of the score is based on the multiple-choice questions, while the essay portions account for the other 20 percent.
