The GACE Business Education Test is very challenging. For one thing, despite the name, it actually consists of two different tests. Aspiring teachers have only four hours to complete both tests, and they must attain a passing grade in order to qualify for teaching certification.
A passing grade is 220 or higher on a scale of 100 to 300. The two tests are similar in format, consisting of 60 multiple-choice questions, which account for 80 percent of the score, and two questions requiring written answers, counting for 20 percent of the score. The first exam covers such topics as accounting, career development, business management, business law, and business ethics. The second test covers information technology, business communication, personal finance, marketing, international business, and economics. Passing the GACE Business Education Test requires the test taker to be familiar with all aspects of these various subjects, as questions can be all over the map.
