GACE French Test

Is the GACE French Test coming up in your not-too-distant future? Here's what you need to know about this all-important test, which can make or break your career as a French teacher in the state of Georgia. The GACE French Test is divided into two separate tests, although you'll take them both the same day, back to back. You'll have only four hours to complete both tests, which will be a challenge for many test takers.

Each test contains 50 multiple-choice questions, along with two written-response questions. As for the scoring breakdown, the multiple-choice portions count for 70 percent and the written answers for 30 percent. The scoring scale is 100 to 300, and only 220 or higher is a passing score. The first test focuses mostly on spoken French, while the second test focuses on written French.
