The GACE Paraprofessional Test is the final hurdle for everyone who hopes to work as a paraprofessional in a Georgia public school system. The test is not a walk in the park; there is a time limit of three hours given for completion, and many people need the entire allotment to finish. In fact, some don't make it completely through the test. It's quite challenging; there are 100 questions on all aspects of the following subjects: instructional support, reading, writing, and math.
Unlike most GACE exams, this test features 100 multiple-choice questions with no writing required. The scoring scale starts at 100 and tops out at 300. The minimum allowable passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Test is 220, meaning that anyone whose score is lower than that cannot be certified to work as a paraprofessional in a Georgia public school.
