Will you be taking the GACE Special Education Academic Content Concentrations Test? If so, you'll want to be prepared when test time rolls around, and here are the basic facts you need to be ready to take the exam. The test is taken in two parts, not one, and both parts must be completed back to back within a four-hour time limit. Both parts have an identical format.
There are 60 questions that are multiple choice on each test, as well as two questions requiring a written answer. Twenty percent of the final score is derived from the written-answer section, and the multiple-choice section accounts for the other 80 percent. Topics on the first test are reading, social studies, and English language arts. Topics on the second test are science and math. The test scale is 100 to 300, and the test taker must score at least 220 in order to qualify for certification.
